Itinerary

Bagan with thousands of pagodas and temples scattered within an area of 16 squares miles on the plain alone the Ayeyarwaddy River in central Myanmar, is the cradle of Myanmar culture. Popularly known as the city of four million pagodas. This ancient temple city heads the list of the richest archaeological sites in the whole of South –east Asia and also memorable for its tranquillity and majesty.


DAY 01 Yangon – Bagan

(06.Jul'05 ) After breakfast transfer to Airport for morning flight to Bagan. Arrive and transfer to Hotel for check-in. After a stroll through the colourful local market continue the day with visits to the most significant pagodas and temples of Bagan including SHWEZIGON Pagoda, built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century as a religious shrine;KU Byauk GYI, a temple with superb murals of Jakata scenes; KHAY MIN GA Temple, noted for its panoramic view of the area's numerous and ANANDA Temple, with four standing Buddha images.
Afternoon, visit one of Myanmar's most treasured handicrafts a lacquerware craftsmen's workshop in nearby MYINKABA village. You will continue to MANUHA Temple, built in the Mon-style in 1059 and follow on to NANBAYA Temple, a unique sandstone monument said to have been the palace of King Manuha. Next you will explore the MYINGABA GU BYAUKGYI Temple, a temple noteworthy for its mural paintings under the protection of UNESCO. In the evening sunset at Irrawaddy River. Overnight at Thiripyitsaya Hotel.

DAY 02 Bagan

(07.Jul'05 ) After breakfast, visit the site of TAYOKEPYAY Temple in Min Nan Thu Village, PAYA THONE ZU and NANDAMAMYA Temple noted for exquisite murals of 13th century and KYAT KAN CAVE Monastery, a famous meditation center in Bagan. Visit farming villages around Bagan.
Afternoon, an excursion to the nostalgic NAT HTAUNG KYAUNG, a wooden monastery built in 1781 by a group of monks, famous for woodcarvings, a collection of ancient Buddha statues and lacquer boxes.
Can visit around old Bagan by pony cart before Sunset. Evening enjoy Bagan's most popular sunset at Bupaya. Overnight at Thiripyitsaya Hotel.


DAY 03 Bagan - Mt.Popa - Yangon

(08.Jul'05 ) After early breakfast at Hotel, morning drive to Mt.Popa.On the way, stopping at palm plantation & palm sugar candy workshop in Kyaukpadaung village. Arrive Mt.Popa climb to summit for amazing panorama view and visit Nat worship Shrine and monasteries there. Late afternoon drive back to Bagan and sightseeing including the rest interesting places & temples & pagodas.
Evening transfer to Nyaung -U airport for domestic flight to Yangon. Arrive Yangon Airport. End of our services.
